Education
In 2010, I graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor's in English. In May 2014, I will graduate from U of L with an MAT in Middle School English/Language Arts.
Field Experience
As part of my MAT, I have completed field hours at Doss High School, Jeffersontown High School, Westport Middle School, the Alfred Binet School, and Thomas Jefferson Middle School. These experiences included observations, one-on-one tutoring, small group teaching, and supervised lessons. I am currently student teaching at Carrithers Middle School.
Professional Experience
In January 2013, I began working as a substitute instructional assistant in Jefferson County Public Schools. I primarily worked at the Alfred Binet School and in a self-contained Functional Mental Disabilities classroom at Luhr Elementary. My experiences varied, but primarily involved working with small groups of students and supporting teachers.
